I was on the phone with tech support a few times today and I too was informed that a new update was rolling out. The reason for my call was constantly dropping my data connection since the last update. The first rep told me that gingerbread was going to be included in this new update, however the next rep said it wasn't. Finally, the last rep told me there was no update. So, I believe there is an update about to surface, what it contains is a mystery. It could be a gift or Pandora's box, we shall see. As for the rep who said there wasn't any update, you have successfully removed all feeling of accomplishment for reps who become supervisors, as it appears Verizon will sacrifice knowledge for someone who can read off of a script.
