"login failed" message

When attempting to access email -- I get login failed message.  Worked great for over 1 year, but this problem started last week.  Checked wifi connector, passwords, location, re-start.  Cannot find a solution. Any guidance appreciated. I have an Android - HTC Rhyme

Let me guess, a Yahoo or AOL email address?

it is a yahoo account but not a yahoo address.  No problems for 13 months accessing.

Any ideas of what to do?

Try removing the email address from your phone and adding it back again under the "Other" email type which allows you to manually add the email server information. There have been a number of users with issues accessing their Yahoo based accounts lately.

The Yahoo Mail app from Google Play is also an alternative.
