since last month's update my attachments on my text messages are not downloading and I am getting "general network failure" error message. Attachments send with no problem but I cannot download attachments. All configurations are set according to instructions. Has anyone else experienced this?

Hello,
The status of my Wifi does not affect my ability to send/receive picture
messages, nor group texts. The problem seems to be having Mobile Data
turned on. If the Data is on, I can send/receive whatever I'd like. I am
using the messaging system that came with my phone. Is there a way I can
uninstall this update? It's awful and I do not want to waste my allotted
data this way.
Your phone is operating as designed, i.e., picture messages and group texts will not send/receive over wi-fi, they require a mobile data connection (as you've ascertained). However, they count against your text package, not your data plan.

Yep, both incoming and outgoing messages. So far that's the only issues I've found but I'm sure there will be more 😞

Yes, same here. Cannot download or send mms texts, and get general network failure, started with update. Very annoyed.

We want to have you all enjoying the new update on your phone! Are you using the original messaging application on your phone or did you down;oad something from the Play Store like Verizon Messages? If you turn your WiFi off, are you able to send/receive pictures and access the internet?

Constantly keep getting "unfortunately messaging has stopped" alert. This has been an ongoing problem for the last week. I have a Droid Ultra and had a system update on May 20th and is 19.6.3en us. I am not getting messages from contacts and I am also having issues sending messages. I have went back and fourth from Wi-Fi to cellular data, and still having problems. Is this an issue with my phone or is this an issue caused by the update?
I have also been having problems with my camera and it not working... Is this an issue with the phone or is it also an os issue? Are there any resolutions to these issues? I've seen where its being recommended to download the Verizon messaging app, but that should not be the solution, I've never had to use that before for messaging and should not have to now. Really getting frustrated with the android operating system and would seriously consider going back to an iPhone.

I turned the wifi off and sent multiple pics and had multiple pics sent to me: neither "sent" nor "received" went through.
I just received a red "!" and "general system failure" for both and the download tab for the received messages which never would download only the red "!".
