Dig a little further on Droid-Life and you can find the working MyVerizon App (the official one to use DL's words)

I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.

While I understand that you can find the leaked My Verizon App and you can find the leaked Skype (which by the way doesn't include the security fixes in the released Skype for Android) with just a little bit of searching, these applications should have been updated and released by now.  Both have been out in "Leak" for for over a month now and have proven succesful in large scale testing.  I think that it is unfortunate that Verizon has not released them.  It really makes me wonder what they are waiting for.  Unless the Gingerbread release is closer than we all think it is and they are waiting for that to push out all these application updates, it just doesn't make much sense.  At least not to me.

We can hope that's the hold up.

I agree, I downloaded the same Skype w/ video apk and it works awesome. I use it to video chat with family from my Thunderbolt to their PC 4 times a week. Video can be a little jumpy on 3G but 4G and wifi it works better than my web cam on my PC.
