When you get the download...it takes forever. The screen will flicker and flash and may even appear to shut off and stop working.
Do not touch it....just let it be!
Eventually you get to a screen that says...
"Android is Upgrading....Optimizing...it will count thru the updates..."
Once it finishes....the screen will go black...
Final screen will let you know that the 299mb update has completed.
Click ok....
Looks like my update just finished.....
Now let me check this out.....

I have a rooted HTC Rezound. how can i update my phone?
it says i can update but then it shuts off and restarts and boots into Clockwork Mod Recovery.

you're going to have to go developer sites to get that info. rooting, flashing, etc isn't allowed to be discussed here.

You can't, it will not apply the update without stock recovery and a stock ROM. If course, these are the kind of things you should know BEFORE modifying your phone.

demmo is right. you can unroot and go back to stock though. just google it. if i link you, it will likely get deleted anyway (my post).
