I'm in DAC 1 too, here in North Texas our STB, last week, there's a headline on top of the menu page, new fios is coming. The Strike isn't going to affect us here is it? all verizon peeps here are non-union. Are all DACs on hold till the stoppage is done?
I'm in DAC 1 (North Texas) and got the message a week ago about the new image. Problem is, there hasn't been any action since. The Broadband Reports forums report that the image is in 'slow spin' (local beta?) for DAC 1, but no fast spin has been announced.
Verizon--can you please confirm if there will indeed be a v1.9 rollout for CA and TX or if the strike has put it off here as well? Been looking forward to the update for quite some time...would really like to get it, even if that means I get a beta version. Thanks!

Yes... will be a slight delay...

How exactly does the slow/fast spin work. Does a slow spin only go out to a set number of people, then hold? Or does that mean a small batch gets it, but it still trickles out to others as well? Or do us "others" have to wait for the fast spin before we have any hope of getting it?
Slow spin just goes to specific user's STBs.

So, what exactly does "slight" mean here? Is it like the last 2 minutes of a football game, that end up taking 30 min? I guess what I'm wondering is whether or not we (VHO/DAC 1) are stuck waiting for the strike to end as well? Or does this mean, "Well, it was supposed to happen last week, but we're off slightly now and it'll be this week instead." ?
How about if we agree to sign an, "I won't call for support on it," form in order to get it?

Oooohhh, that would be good. I would be willing to pinkie swear to that.
Joe--is there any way you can get VHO/DAC 1 folks willing to take on the v1.9a software as-is onto the slow spin? If anything, it's more testing from willing lab rat--er--customers before it gets rolled out to everyone.
