Aplle can upgrade millions and millions of devices in a single day, these clowns at verizon need 6-9 months and still cant get it right. COME ON!!!!, stop the **bleep** IMG 1.9 works, now download it to the customers

Not just Apple. but any software company - Microsoft, Google, etc, etc do updates once for everybody. DirectTV also upgrade once for everybody, Dish, I believe, also upgrades at once. For Verizon, specifically for Joe Ambeault software upgrade is event of the century, or maybe millenium.. I am suprised why they upgrade by DAC - thousands customers at once. It would be wise to upgrade each individual box in order to prevent software crashes and customer complaints. That way Joe will be guaranteed that every box will be upgraded properly. Yes, it will take couple hundred years to upgrade everybody but it will be done without major hickups. In the end of the day Joe is still very proud of how he and his development handle this rollout - one happy develpment manaager out there....
i was curious about this upgrade from the verizon magazine and I got pointed in this direction . Is this a TV guide upgrade or is it more than that? Is everyone angry because they want to watch the guide and not tv shows? So confused!!! Lots of grown men crying over a tv guide is a serious problem and verizon must meet their demands.....or they might need to get girlfriends and have to go out. If it was an upgrade for 3D porn I'd be the biggest **bleep** complaining but this is a f'n TV guide update. We'll get it when we get it.

If it's good enough, then why is the software not good enough for NY?
Did you notice some problems last weekend such as Online DVR showing your recording schedule but showinging "bad gateway" for recordings, but showing the recordings if you clicked manage recordings. They had some server problems that caused them to have to schedule some work to fix them, which meant they postponed working on the upgrade for IMG 1.9 in NY.
Not the issue.

Server is down in NYC? This is why Verizon delayinfg rollout? The incomptence on Verizon IMG develpment team reaches new high! And I can guarantee nobody in Verizon will be punished! Nobody! This is standard operation procedure for Verizon failure is not punished but rewarded! I bet after rollout will be over sometime in 2014 Joe and his team will get huge bonuses - for the job well done!
I would like to get the updates since it was said to correct the handshake issues I have with some of my equipment. If it wasnt for this issue I would not give one ***??(&*(%#$@^&%&**
I think that we are wasting our time, does anyone working for Verizon read this forum, and if so do you think that they actually care? They have most of the country set up with 1.9, there is no valid reason that everyone doesn't have it.
Yes. 1.9 adds multi hub. As long as you have multi room DVR the feature is included.
