Hi,
I am Joe... the product director for FiOS TV. Sorry for the confusion. We had to change the "batting order" due to some necessary network maintenance... that hadn't finished by the time we planned to upgrade the software on the boxes. NJ and Philly will get the upgrade... just going to take a bit longer. Our apologies.
Thanks,
Joe
Joe:
Any chance for an updated rollout sked? I am in northern Virginia.
Thanks
Hi!
When is Richmond, VA going to get 1.9a? I think we are VHO-9/DAC 3?
I'm DYING to get native output resolution (passthrough). I hate that 720p stuff is upconverted to 1080i.
Thanks!
Now that the "batting order" as you put it, Has changed due to maintenance in the Philly and New Jersey markets, Where and which VHO's will be next?
Joe and Verizon are not saying for sure. But others are reporting VHO 1 will be next.
going west

usually takes about 3-4 months to get everyone updated - over 10M devices. the clock started in early July for 1.9a. we are 1 month in... so everyone will have it in about 2ish months.

Your realm is toward the end of the schedule... biggest number of devices.
So, Joe, "going west" you say... well since I just learned what a VHO is and a DAC is... (not channels in the Fios line up if anyone else is curious)
I think mine is VHO 3 / DAC 1 for the greater los angeles area (I'm right on the LA / OC border) is that even correct, can you confirm that I did my research correctly?
How about that region? are we talking I will wake up and be pleasently delighted sometime this week? Or are we talking, I best put my esata external HD back in the box and sell it on ebay, because I'm not gonna get to use is till Halloween, and so by then there will be a new fall line up of external hard drives that are cheaper/bigger.
Waiting with baited breath... and I'm not just talking about shark week.
