Router = ACTIONTEC-E

Start in home agent

it detects correct router and

Successfully loaded configure file into DOM

does some other checking and

Successfully loaded configure file into DOM  {again}

tries to login to router with my userid and password

IT FAILS

tries all combination of default passwords (password, password1,verizon,verizon1)

IT FAILS

PROGRAM STOPS

The question is why, I have been in contact with support and they have no answer, as of yet

Note:

This router was recently replaced and I believe the configuration file in now encrypted and in house agent can not handle this situation

Can anyone help out?

If you haven't changed the router password since the tech installed it, then the password is supposed to be your routers serial number.  User name is admin.

However, in my case, I put in the routers serial number and it says it's failed.  I tried password and admin as passwords, both fail.

But maybe your serial number will work for you.

serial number is case sensitive.   so capitals.

Thanks but I've changed the password to my own and also tried all of the defaults. I've re-booted the router (both hard and soft), restored defaults and forced a reload of the firmware. If I look at the log it will say an error occurred and to call support. Which I have done about a week ago. No solutions of yet
