I constantly have to power down my modem, wait 45 to 60 seconds and restart to get connected to the Intrnet. I think I have a 'flaky' modem but I havenb't the faintest idea how to get service. Add this to the fact that I am 80 years old and hard of hearing so the phione is out of the question

Hi RayK welcome to the forum. First go here: http://www.verizon.com/support/residential/contact-us/index.htm

1. Catagory =  Internet

2. Topic =  Connection Issues

3. Contact us = Chat

Do not use Ask verizon .... "Ask now" you will not get a live human being, just an automated system

BTW I agree modem replacement is a good place to start, but they may want to send out a truck depending on what ls gleaned from the Chat. Good Luck

It probably is the modem as I'm now on my second one as the first one burned up. See the other message as he is great taking you through to the proper steps as they will send a tech out to replace it and set it up. I hate the 7500 but that's what they gave me and now having probvlems but have my Westell327 that had a very minor issue and seriously thinking of hooking that up again so see if you could possibly get another modelk. I wish you the best of luck!
