I have a new land line phone, and I am unable to retrieve the messages from this phone.  My other landline phones are Panasonic.  This one is an AT&T one.

You would need to read your phone manual. Verizon does not choose your phones and would have no way of keeping a database of everyone’s devices.

what ever the procedure you are having with the Panasonic should be the same with the AT&T device. Just different menu choices.
