Cannot port to a FIOS an existing Verizon land line

A chat CSR told me that I am unable to port my land line which is currently owned by Verizon into FIOS -- they can manage other providers but just not numbers owned by Verizon

Is that true?

That is bunk. They are handing you a lie.

at the above link file an online complaint. Verizon cannot switch a landline phone number to a verizon digital phone. Ridiculous.

you can also look up your states Public Utilities Commission or Public Service Commission or Department of Financial Security under state government. File with them as well.
