No Dail Tone

On Monday I had DSL installed. Love it. Talked to the tech who did it. He had some problems with the connections while hooking it up. Did not speak him after. The DSL is working but I have no phone. No dail tone. I have checked this out with a plain phone at the box where the phone line comes into the house. No dail tone just dead silence. Can not seem to get thru the {word filter avoidance} phone trees. The last one sounded like they were havin a party.
