hi,
i'm trying to block the march of dimes from calling me (they are setting a new record for persistence by calling 5 times a day, EVERY DAY).
i tried to block the number that shows up on caller ID 845-790-8092, but apparently Verizon won't allow me to do this.
Does anyone know how to block them out?
Thnx
D
If they are calling as often as you say, it borderlines on harassment.....
You can report the number to the
Nuisance Phone number 1-800-257-2969
You can also try to add yourself to the National Do Not Call Registry www.donotcall.gov Offers registration for consumers to stop telemarketers from calling
you could also try answering the cal, and asking to sepak with a supervisor and ask to be taken off the list

Bob,
I'm actually already on the DNC list, but since they are a charity i think they maybe exempt? That is the way i read it on their site.
i'll try the nuisance phone number, thanks for the suggestion.
you can also add a feature called call intercept if the number comes up unavailable.

i just went through that with Verizon on their chat support. unfortunately, it doesn't come up blocked/unavail it shows up correctly. apparently because MOD is "multi-line" i can't block them.
I'm sorry I don't have an answer for the march of dimes but I am receiving a call very frequently from an unavailable number and as soon as I pick up they hang up. How does the call intercept work? How do I do that? I've tried the call block and reporting the call, neither of which work since it is "unavailable".

Call Intercept
I have had daily calls from them also. Finally I got ticked off and called them back. You get a recording that says they are sorry they missed your call but if you want to learn more about the organization press "1". That is the last thing I wanted to do, but I did, and it gives you three options. The third option is to push "3" you get to key in your number to have it removed from their calling list!
They have a funky server and it didn't input my number correctly at first, but after two tries it got it correct and said I would no longer receive calls from them. So that's the answer, hope it works for all. I will never donate to the March of Dimes!
