If I get the new iPhone 12 and there is 5G service in my area, will my extender work the same that it’s working now, will it only work if I turn the 5G off on my phone?

Can you turn the 5G off on your iPhone 12? I don’t know.

does Verizon at this time know of any issues with the Verizon extender/5G network?

So is Verizon confirming that our extenders in my case I guess I have the Samsung, that currently work with the 4G will not work with 5G phones?

obviously we need to know this so we don’t buy 5g phones.

Your 4G Network Extender should still work with your 4G compatible 5G device. The 4G Network Extender will still provide support for 4G services, but not 5G. Most 5G devices are still 4G capable. Does this provide some clarity? - Nick

Except for each person who had come on here with an iPhone 12 as in 5G says it does not work with their extender, so there’s clearly an issue.

I am not buying an iPhone 12 right now because of these posts that I am seeing I am assuming there is an issue not isolated to just a couple of people.

To clarify, it should still work if you had your 5G phone set to 4G while using the network extender. It will not extend the network in 5G, as it is a 4G network extender. It's fine to wait too.

What boosters are available currently that would work with an iphone 12?  I have found none.  Thanks in advance.
