After box got self new firmware I lost all my HD chanels, even when I switch it to HD, I still get it in SD, so I have now two options, bad SD and worse SD, but no any HD quality like it was before.
Is it any possibility to kill this nice new firmware and return HD channels back ???? I hate it and this alos have other problems, pop up menu stool half scren when you change channels.
The loss of any HD channels is almost certainly nothing to do with the IMG. Try pulling the plug and then restarting the STB. If still out contact customer support.
What are the set tops video output settings?
Menu - Settings - Video Setttings :
Video Format : This must be 1080i or 720P for you to get HD.
SD Override : Should be Stretch or Off
TV Type : typically 16:9
Graphics Settings : HD is preferred (only an option if you have a 7xxx)
Video Sharpness : 4 (also only an option if you have a 7xxx, unless you go ito User Settings)
It sounds like your primary Video Format is not 1080i or 720P, or you are using a non HD input on your TV.

I am in the group that would recommend SD Override be 480i or even 480P rather than your recommendation. For my sets the difference in quality is obvious is obvious. And, this allows me to use the recommended (for Plasma) gray bars.
