I was sold an international data plan. The sales team at virizon knew that I go to school in Canada (I upgraded in 2021) to the unlimited plan that gave me 2gb of high speed and unlimited low speed. This was perfect for my part living in Canada.
recently Virizon notified me that my 50$ international usage limit had been reached and now I’m being charged a steep ( 2.50$ per 1mb of data) I’ve returned to the states twice in the last 60 days and I hardly use data as it is. However I went back to Canada and I haven’t had wifi until today and they limited me without even noticing me.
My family has been a loyal customer to Verizon for years and I have even promoted to friends, to feel they have hoodwinked me is extremely sad and I’m nervous now that I’m in a remote area of Canada for another few weeks and they have stranded me with no use of data which means no GPS no emergency communication:./
