In Jamaica and my phone is not working.

I have no cellular, as if roaming is turned off. I cut it on and off. Restarted my phone. Nothing works! Boyfriend's AT&T phone is working great. No one will respond to my emails, cannot login to my account. Says "error" for whatever reason. Anyone have any suggestions what I can do? Aside from switching carriers as soon as I get home ๐Ÿคฌ

-Are you a postpaid or prepaid customer?  Prepaid customers have to have funds loaded into their account before Travel Pass can be activated.

-If you did not enable Travel Pass or did not buy an international service plan, I've heard that after $500 of "unbilled" charges for roaming, your service does get cut off to prevent you from running up an excessively high bill.

-There are data caps for international usage even with Travel Pass or the International Service Plan, so maybe you used up your allotment?

-I don't know why you can't login to your account, unless there is some kind of restriction on accessing anything Verizon overseas.  Or if you have 2 factor authentication enabled with your account and your service has been cut off, then the text to your phone will not go through.

-If you can use Wi-Fi, see this link for how to reach International Support Services.  Scroll down the website to the part about "If I have a technical problem while traveling, how do I get help?" and expand that section.  There may be a toll-free number you could call from a landline phone.

Hello, Egd291. Help is here as we would never want to see you leave us. Please tell us more. Since arriving in Jamaica, did you restart your phone with Wi-Fi off to ensure the phone connects to the network? This will not happen if Wi-Fi is on.
