International cruise

I will be on a 12 day #royalcaribbean #cruise in Europe + 3 days on land in the embarkation country. I understand that Verizon has several travel plans https://ss7.vzw.com/is/content/VerizonWireless/available-international-travel-services-v2.pdf 

- #TravelPass $10/day/device

- #InternationalPlan  $100/month/device

- some sort of #CruiseShipPlan

I understand that Travel Pass and International plan are for shore days, whereas Cruise Ship Plan is for onboard the ship. I understand that Travel Pass is only charged on days that we use it vs International is for the whole month.
Since we will be in Europe, the time difference makes it unlikely that we will call or text anyone while in port, so Travel Pass makes sense.

I have read that the Cruise Plan is $20/month for 50 MB data (and pay as you go talk and text) on select cruise ships and airlines https://www.verizonwireless.com/tp/cpc/planSelection#/   And that it will be offered when we get on the cruise ship. Since everyone in our group has Apple phones, we can call and text over MMS and Facetime using data. Please verify I understand this correctly?

However, after speaking to the Verizon rep, I have a  few questions.

1) The Verizon rep said the Travel Pass is limited to 2 G of data per day, but the price plan linked above shows unlimited data. Which is correct?

2) The International Plan is per month. Is that a rolling month or calendar month? We are traveling from the end of one calendar month into the beginning of the next month.

3) The Cruise Ship plan… I need more information. Is there any way to know how much data an MMS message uses? A Facetime call per minute? Downloading a video? Checking a travel website? I have time before the trip, so I can do my own testing if someone can tell me how to measure the results in Data usage.

4) Is there any way to find out what the “select” ships and airlines are? I see Royal Caribbean listed as one of the cruise lines, but the rep said our ship is not covered. Are there only certain ships in the Royal fleet that are covered? Same with #airlines - how do I know if mine is covered before I board?

5) Do the data plans include using a phone as a #wifihotspot ?

6) The Cruise FAQ’s state “You'll be charged Pay as You Go rates if you use your phone outside the US and you don't set up TravelPass or an International Monthly plan, or when you visit destinations not included in those plans.” So if I understand correctly, I would be charged $10 for the travel pass for days that I am not on land + $20 one time (per 50MB and per device) for the cruise plan. So a 12 day cruise with no shore usage would still be charged $120 of travel pass usage + $20 of cruise plan usage, correct?

With TravelPass you do have 2GB of high speed data to use per day, after those 2 GB are used, you can still use your data but at a lower speed, so it is unlimited as there is no block. The month for the feature starts on the day that you add the plan to the line. You do have the option to share data via hotspot, keep in mind that this will use up your data faster than with normal usage. I’m trying to figure out if Travel Pass or International monthly makes more sense. If we have to pay for Travel pass or International monthly in order to have the Cruise package, then it would be cheaper to get int. monthly since it will save 5 days worth of $10 charges.
