Just spent an hour and 12 minutes on the phone with Verizon technical specialist as my phone has no service in Italy. After attempts at troubleshooting was advised that there is an issue with all international roaming on Verizon at this time. Can anyone confirm whether this is accurate.

Verizon was aware of an international third-party communications provider having issues with voice and data connections with U.S. based customers traveling overseas at the end of June. The issues have been fixed and impacted customers have received notifications from Verizon.
If you have an issue like this while traveling, we recommend using Wi-Fi when available. If you had previously activated Wi-Fi Calling back in the United States, that feature can be used as well in the meantime: https://www.verizon.com/support/wifi-calling-faqs/.
We appreciate your patience and understanding, and thank you for using Community Forums to lift your feedback and experience.

Just got to Japan from SF and travel pass worked fine for both my wife’s line and mine. Today we took our two kids to Tokyo Disney and got in line at 7am to get ahead. By 8am we checked our phones to get our Disney passes ready to go in when we noticed both of our lines were out of service. We had everything on our phones and the WiFi in Disney only works one time for 15min, my wife and I were both on hold with Verizon not knowing after 15min WiFi gets shut off for the day. I spoke to a rep that said they were transferring me to IT to create a ticked when all the sudden WiFi dropped. We had to buy tickets for all 4 of us again as we were not able to access our Klook app which we bought the tickets from, not only that but we were also unable to sign up for priority pass, stand by pass etc. nothing worked due to not having service. Kids crying wife upset that we woke up at 5 am to get all the passes and missed everything due to Verizon’s issue. To make matters worse we couldn’t catch an Uber and had to pay close to $200 for a Taxi. Let alone I contacted Verizon twice before we travelled to ensure everything went smoothly. I have been with Verizon 9 years and have 5 lines with them but after this experience and all the extra expenses Verizon has caused it’s time to part ways and go to a more reliable competitor that will not ruin our next vacation. Verizon use to be #1 but unfortunately their standards have dropped and are no longer reliable. I will be moving my 5 lines elsewhere after this experience. I’m here in Japan for another 7 days on vacation with my family and now I need to figure out what to do which is very stressful for my wife and I. VERIZON HAS RUINED OUR DISNEY TRIP AND HAS NOW CAUSED LOTS OF STRESS FOR MY FAMILY AND I.

Thank you for that additional information. Wi-Fi calling would need to be activated within the US in order to utilize it internationally. Wi-Fi can still be utilized for data access.

We know how important it is to stay connected while traveling, we'll be glad to share some information on this issue. Some customers traveling internationally are experiencing service issues. Phone calls and data sessions are successfully completing about 70 percent of the time. Our teams are actively working with our roaming provider to resolve the issue. We appreciate your patience.

In France and problem is mostly solved as of 6/29 - still (as your post suggests) some issues here and there as service vanishes temporarily then returns. Question does remain about whether Verizon intends to refund all those who didn't get the service they had paid for over the course of 1, 2, 3, even 4 days?

My travelpass suddenly stopped working after 3 days in Milan, Italy
Even though I received a daily text from Verizon saying that 'This is a reminder that your 24-hour TravelPass session will end [at midnight]...' the signal indicator on top right of screen shows zero bars.
I cannot make or receive any calls / texts, not online browsing either. Sporadically I'll receive service but it'll be dropped suddenly with no warning.
I am in the same place in central milan the entire time so it's not a matter of me physically moving out of coverage. The local carrier is vodafone.
Phone make and model is the iPhone 12.
Please diagnose the problem- what's causing it? And what's the solution?
Thanks,
B

I am traveling in the UK and Travel Pass stopped working 18 hours ago. Seems I am not the only one affected. What is going on ? Little to no acknowledgement from Verizon, no indication of when the issue will be resolved.
