Issue with international plan

Hi - I am currently in Perth, AUS. I signed up for the international plan. I have been here for three days & have not received/sent a text, call nor used any data due to roaming. Do I need to activate the plan or how exactly does this work?

Hello, boexgj. Wishing you safe travels. Please share more info. What is the make/model of your device? Have you restarted the device with Wi-Fi off to allow the phone to connect to the nearest tower for service?

From what I've found on the Verizon website:

1) If you have Unlimited Ultimate, international service is already built in (over 200 countries are covered)

2) If you don't have Unlimited Ultimate, and bought the International Plan, then you must first make sure data roaming is turned on.  When you use your phone for something, it should then trigger the usage of the International Plan.  People who didn't buy the International Plan get a trigger saying Travel Pass gets activated instead? @vzw_customer_support  can you elaborate more?

3) If you forgot to buy some kind of international service coverage and/or decline to use Travel Pass when prompted, then you will be charged pay-as-you-go rates for international service.
