Hi all
Has anyone had trouble getting the $100 International travel plan to work? I have a business account and I could not got it to work after many phone calls and trying everything we could think of. Using IPhone15 if it matter. We have tried every reboot, airplane mode, and roaming thing they suggested. This was mainly this month in Italy and Malta. Finally, when they go t back we called "Level 2" customer service.
In the end, they told us :
It was "missing a voice and data feature” they say they have now added back.
But, he could not explain why it was missing or not added originally
I have no confidence this will work . Any suggestions or similar issues?

Verizon is aware of an international third-party communications provider having issues with voice and data connections with U.S. based customers traveling overseas. They are actively working on fixing these issues.
We recommend using Wi-Fi when available. If you had previously activated Wi-Fi Calling back in the United States, that feature can be used as well in the meantime: https://www.verizon.com/support/wifi-calling-faqs/

I've read in these forums that the international plan doesn't cover calling landlines, only other mobile numbers. Someone also reported that if you call between 2 different countries internationally (for example, say you're in France and call someone in the United Kingdom on your Verizon phone), it's not covered either for whatever reason. My guess is Verizon only has agreements with some mobile carriers overseas and not anything with landline providers, and if you are calling between countries, can also cause problems if one carrier isn't supported. Then there's the issue with some parts of the world being on older wireless technology than what's currently in the US.
I'm not a Verizon employee, just another customer trying to help.

SFJohnPresidio, we understand how important it is to be able to utilize your device as expected, especially when traveling out of the country. Can you share with us what was happening when attempting to use the device? Were you receiving any type of message or alert when trying to use your device?

In Spain currently. No network connectivity since yesterday evening. Previous five days the international plan was working great. What’s going on? When will we be back on a network? Can’t get through to customer service either.

In Ireland, same story. Stopped working on the 26th at 5:10 pm, was trying to drive somewhere and nowhere, maps, couldn't call for directions. Tried installing a vodophone eSim as that's what I was connecting to but it would not work. Kept getting the "not a verizon sim" message. They have made having a s.artphone necessary for so many things that this is unacceptable. I pay over 200 per month for 2 phones and this is what I get on a 1200 new phone! Verizon is going after decades of loyalty.

The unique international issue reported by the OP appears NOT to be related to the latest global international network issue as reported in Correct answer: Community Forums - International roaming issues - Verizon Community . Let's not confuse old unique issues with other current issues.

Hello, jtw5. Wishing you safe travels. Help is here as we know how important it is to have service, especially while traveling internationally. Just to confirm, have you turned off Wi-Fi and restarted the phone. The reason we ask that you do this is to allow the phone to connect to the nearest cellular tower in your location. This will not happen if Wi-Fi is on. Please let us know.

Yes, it is horrible. I am in Denmark, it doesn't work at all. It was okay in UK. I have 3 more countries in Europe. I am not sure if it works. I needed it for work an to navigate. I am disappointed . I was with technical support. They can't solve. The network list is long but can only connect with one but even that doesn't work.

Your experience was in June. Here in August 2024, I am having the same problems in Denmark. Just as you, I have a small business and having no voice calling, text, internet etc. I am very disappointed. We are on three weeks vacation and can't be without my phone. We were in England before this and it was working OK in some areas. I was with technical support, they acted as if there is no known problems. I see here every has problem. I hope they are not charging me.

We are having the same problem. My husband has the $100 plan on his phone and it worked great for our first week in Italy bit suddenly stopped working today. Did some troubleshooting with Verizon but that didn't work. So frustrating since we often don't have WiFi and thus don't have any way to use data. Please help
