I'll be traveling abroad and am planning on using a local eSIM. While abroad I'd like to receive my VW text messages without triggering a Travel Pass session. Using an android, if I turn off roaming and mobile data under the SIM, would that be enough to keep it from triggering as long as I don't send a text, answer or make a phone call? Also, if I then go into airplane mode and on WiFi with my VW eSIM activated, would I then be able to respond to text messages and make calls without triggering a session?
We know how important it is to stay connected while traveling, we'll be glad to help out. TravelPass will be activated whenever you make or receive a call, and send/receive text messages, and use mobile data. If your device is on airplane mode, and you're using Wi-Fi, that would not trigger a TravelPass session.
