USVI Travel Pass

I had this happen to me a few weeks ago. It was fine on St. Thomas, USVI,  but we went over to St. John for a week. Shortly after arriving, I got a text saying Travelpass was activated on my wife and I’s phone. It said it was for British Virgin Islands and we did not travel there.  We didn’t even bring our passports with us on the trip. Now our bill is $36+ higher.

Verizon doesn't have any of their network outside of the US, so for US territories, it's a gray area with wireless coverage since your phones must connect to some other carrier's network.  If Verizon has an agreement with someone outside the US where it is considered US coverage, then you wouldn't be billed for Travel Pass in that US territory, but if you happen to connect to some other provider where there isn't such an agreement, then it's international usage.
