I am 3000 miles from home, in Peru, and yesterday Tier 1 support helped me change my international plan. What they did not realize is that doing so deactivated my ESIM, and It is impossible to activate a new ESIM in Peru, because there are no Verizon Towers here.
So I don't have a network data plan until I return to the States and can reactivate my phone. All I have is the sketchy wireless I can find here.
3 people spent an hour and a half each investigating this issue to determine that there is no fix.
This is both an unacceptable waste of time and money, and an unforgivable error on the part of Verizon Customer Support.
I wonder what Verizon will be doing to make sure this doesn't happen in the future.
