filing a claim for loss of international service

We were away late last month and we had 3 1/2 days of no service due to the international provider Verizon works with. We were sent an email as to how we can claim but the directions as to where to make a claim dose not appear on Verizon web page, having called 3 times on my lunch breaks NO ONE SEEMS TO KNOW WHAT TO DO BUT TO TRY AND SELL ME HOME PROTECTION. 2 hours waisted on the phone talking to people who can't be of help and 3 1/2 days of no service. Verizon you doing a great job!!
Any one here have had any luck to making a claim?
