Great question, I know how important it is to make sure you're able to use your phone and avoid any unwanted or unexpected charges while traveling and I'll be more than happy to help look into this for you and review your options. I'd like to first wish you a safe and pleasant trip. Now to answer your question, we would need to know the exact plan you are on as some plans we offer do include usage in Canada/Mexico. If the domestic plan you currently have doesn't include Canada/Mexico you would need to add a travel plan, click here for more details http://vz.to/2oIJQP7. Here is another link that will walk you through planning a trip to find out what options you have https://www.verizonwireless.com/support/trip-planner-tool/. What is the exact plan you are on?

If you want to use/maintain your current calling plan while in Canada, you need an International Calling Plan. Travel Pass will also allow your current plan to be used for $5 a day. Check out International Phones & Global Calling Plans | Verizon Wireless. If you don't have an International Calling Plan, there may be higher rates for phone, text and data usage.
