How Do I Dial An International Number?

I feel kind of dumb asking this. I'm not sure if it's because I haven't had a cup of coffee yet, or not. I Imagine there's a concrete answer SOMEWHERE, but I haven't found it. Coffee may help, but I figured I'd just ask.

My husband is currently in Turkey, and needs to make a phone call to the US (to CT). I've enabled an international plan on his phone (it's active), my bill is up-to-date, etc. He has a Samsung Galaxy s6 edge+. He tried dialing it already, but was barred from calling. Hence the now active international plan. We weren't sure if he was dialing it right. I'm not there with him obviously, so I'm not exactly sure what he was doing.

My question is... how would he dial that to get through? Any help is greatly appreciated Smiley Happy Thank you.

From another thread (thanks Weth), I believe the number format is adding the +1 in front of the phone number so it looks like +1-xxx-xxx-xxxx with you substituting the x's for the ten digit number you want to call.

I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.
