My son is traveling to Europe for a semester of school. The university advised us to have his phone unlocked by our carrier so he can buy a SIM card when he arrives in Europe. How can I tell if the phone is unblocked ? And if it's not how do we unlock it ? It's an iPhone

Great news, all 4G devices are unlocked and can be activated with other carriers. However, the device does have to be compatible to the carriers network.
