If you put the device on Airplane Mode, turn data and data roaming off and just use Wi-Fi, there would be no charge. Otherwise, other is $2.05 per megabyte or you can get a Travel Pass for $10 a day. It would give you 0.5 GB of data and then it would slow down, but not charge you anything beyond that for data. (You would also get calls to the Dominican Republic and United States from the DR for free and free texting with a Travel Pass.)
