My family has been with Verizon for many years and I am traveling to Israel in a few weeks for a 5-month study abroad program. I currently have an iPhone 6S, which I got from my local Verizon store in August.
What is the best (cheapest/most reliable) course of action for having cell phone access while in Israel? Is my phone "unlocked" for international SIM card usage? Should I rent a phone while in Israel? Any other options that I may be overlooking? Thanks! -Josh
The phone is SIM unlocked from the factory. You should consider getting a prepaid SIM card from the local carrier for less money than you can get with the international options from VZW.
