Travel pass just initiated in U.S.

My spouse and I returned last Monday from a trip to South Africa, where we used the Travel Pass feature.  Today is Saturday, so we have been back in the US for close to a week.

I just received a text message telling me my travel pass session will expire tomorrow.

How/why did it suddenly start a travel pass session in Kentucky?  And if it's real, how would I get that charge removed?

I would be wondering the same thing too. Depending on the time zone will depend on when it will expire. I can guarantee you that we do not charge Travel Pass unless you use it out of the country. So if you leave Sat you will still have the usage for the next 24 hours.
