Is TravelPass activated if I use Map or Google Map while abroad?

To clarify, if you access these apps using cellular data it will certainly trigger a TravelPass "session" but if done on wifi it will not.

lukevinyl,

We certainly want you to understand how your international plan works. If you access maps while on WiFi this will not trigger your TravelPass. If you are on cellular data, though, this will trigger it. Maps apps do need a data connection to run.
