When international calling, is there something special that I need to do to make the call?

I have a family member working in Mexico for the next three months.  I have the iPhone 7 and thought Mexico was included on my plan.  However, when I try to make a call I get the "call cannot be completed as dialed".  Is there something special that I need to do to make the call?

Make sure you have international calling active on your line. 

Dial the number as: 

+52 then the number

drop 01, 044, 045

should look something like

+52 55 XXXX XXXX
