my daughter is In China. Her iPhone8 has international lane and VPN. Worked great for first two weeks, now won’t connect to WiFi. Turned on/off. Tried multiple locations. Any suggestions?? Need her on WiFi to avoid crazy data charges.

I would NOT surprise me (though I have no way of knowing for sure) to learn that China somehow blocks VPN's. After all, they keep a pretty tight reign on the internet.

Being able to connect to a Wi-Fi network to avoid high data usage while overseas is very important, SCOKEM5. I do have a few more questions if you don’t mind. Is she not able to connect at all, or is she able to connect but not able to get data when connected to a Wi-Fi network? What happens when your daughter attempts to connect to a Wi-Fi network? Is there an error message that she receives when she attempts to select the network? You mentioned she has a VPN? Any difference if that is turned off? You can try resetting the network settings: https://www.verizonwireless.com/support/knowledge-base-207110/. Please let us know what happens.

Just google "VPN china". You will discover that China has very specific requirements for VPN's. Here is just one article. https://www.travelchinacheaper.com/vpns-still-work-china
