A. Travel Pass, which charges a fixed fee per line each day that you use voice, data, or text while abroad, and charges nothing any days you don't use any of those features (which would normally require you keep the phone in airplane mode to avoid background data triggering Travel Pass for the day).
B. Pay As You Go, which charge per minute/text/MB of data used while abroad.
