My daughter is traveling to South Korea in a few days. The suggested practice in South Korea is to buy a SIM card to use your current phone. Can she remove the SIM card from her iPhone 6 when she gets to South Korea and replace it with one she purchases there. Does her phone have to be unlocked (it's locked now) to do this? And can Verizon unlocks her phone if it's required?

The Verizon phones are SIM unlocked at the factory.

Mayay1823, I hope that your daughter will have a great time when she is there. Our 4G devices are unlocked and you do not need a code. Click here http://www.verizon.com/about/consumer-safety/device-unlocking-policy to learn more. We can not guarantee that all features will work when using a different carrier.
