Nest Camerai

I was charged for the Nest Camera and have been trying to return it.  I was told to go to a store and drop it off and a note was added into a memo on my account to credit me when it is returned.  I went to two stores, one of which was a Corporate and they said they do not accept returns.  I have spent hours on the phone.  I get switched all around and no one knows what they are doing?  They just keep giving me departments and numbers.  I am so upset about this.  What is going on with Verizon???
