I have the Verizon app on my smart TV, and find at least once a month it loses its mind and puts up an 8 character code, and shows a URL to log into and enter that code. When you enter the code shown, it transfers to the main Verizon log in page, and you end up going around in circles.
When this happens the proper link to use is: secure.verizon.com/signin
