Boosting rural signal

I live in a rural area with spotty service.  We got a Jetpack® MiFi® 6620L and it gets about 1 bar.  Is there anyway to boost that signal?  Any settings or antenas or tools to help?  And/or is there a better device that would help me get reliable internet/phone service?

Yes.  Look into 3rd party boosters and antenna kits.  Check out weboost or 3gstore for more info on the options that are available for your price range.  However, there needs to be a good cell phone signal in your area for an amplifier or antenna to be effective.  Your results will vary.

We cant answer that question without knowing more details about this location and the performance metrics from your current machine.  Generally speaking its all the same VZW signal and service so the devices perform relatively similar to each other pending on the hardware that is built into a particular device.
