Not according to this: Verizon Jetpack® MiFi® 6620L last updated 10/06/2016

Software Version: 2.24.11_1.152.30 aka 3.0

The About section of the user interface is not in question. Your statements about the device supporting and operating in Band 2 are in question. You have made statements against known facts and with no corroborating evidence to support your position, twice.

Those are the specs for when it first came out. Verizon has never updated them. There has been three software upgrades that added XLTE. Just don't know about band 2. It seems only to be used in larger city where the tower are congested.

So, what you're saying is you don't think the specs are right.

The manufacture's specification settles all debate and there is no rebuttal without contrary documentation that disproves the original specification. If you are unable to do that then the original spec must be observed. Speculation is fine, but that's all it is.

The specs are right for when it came on the market 2 years ago. There has been 3 software updates since then that added serveral enhancements. Thus the specs need updating.

Just like to have the fastest device possible. When I am in a large city that is congested band 2 would help with better speeds.

Started picking up band 2 occasionally in Long Beach, CA.  Primary band is 4 (usually -105db), secondary is 13 (usually -96db).  Band 2 is much faster than 4 and/or 13.  Weekend events in the downtown area suck up all the bandwidth available.  So yes, the MiFi 6620 is capable of picking up band 2 with the mentioned software updates.  Depending on your area, don't expect VerizonWireless to supply it often.

And you know this, because…?

Using the diagnostic utilities embedded in the MiFi 6620, you can determine the band, single-to-noise ratio (SNR), and relative signal strength in -db. The latest software releases for the MiFi 6620 enabled band 2 and also enabled network aggregation (combination of multiple bands for optimum performance). However, the utilities provided so far do not indicate if aggregation is actually active.
