The About section of the user interface is not in question. Your statements about the device supporting and operating in Band 2 are in question. You have made statements against known facts and with no corroborating evidence to support your position, twice.

I just got a MiFi6620L and wondered if it supported dual-band 2.4 & 5 Ghz simultaneously.  It does not appear to support this - a single network only.

I downloaded the manual for the ac791L Jetpack and it seems to support either dual-band or separate private and guest networks.

My original plan was to get the 791L but the store didn't have them and suggested the 6620L was the 'latest and greatest'....now I'm wondering if I should exchange the 6620L for the ac791L.....

Here is the proof required that the MiFi 6620L supports band 2. This was taken at 9-Jan-2017 at 7:17am in Long Beach, CA:

I am the original poster from back in July. I can confirm as you said the 6620l does indeed have band 2. The web interface only list one band at a time. I am band 2 right now. It's mostly 4/13 depending on where I am.
