How do I set up dual bands on a Jetpack 6620?

Is there a way to set dual band on the Jetpack 6620? I can only find the option of either 5GHz or 2.4, but not dual. I have one device that only recognizes 2.4, but for the rest I use 5GHz.

Thank you!

I checked updates before I came to the forums, so I'm up to date.

Also, I'm using the jetpack in my car, so the bridging isn't a solution.

Thanks for all the replies, but I take it the answer to my original question is "no".

See page 60 of the user manual for instructions to put the device in dual band mode.

Also the devices that use 5 GHz are backward compatible with 2.4 Ghz so you could use that if dual band isn't available for some reason.

And John_Getzke, check out page 46 of the manual!

Looks like the OP asked a question that wasn't covered by the link you provided unless I missed it. Did you see what I was referring to for the mention to John?

Yes, I saw it two years ago and noted it to him in post 7. I wasn't talking your excellent advice to the OP, I was talking about John on page 46 of he manual.

That's the problem - the manual says the option exists for dual band, but I only have the option for  either 2.4 or 5 - not dual. There is no drop down or option for both bands.

I thought I might be missing something, but I've gone into the admin settings numerous times thinking I missed a setting, but can't find it. The manual does say that the dual band option is not available with a guest network - I don't have a guest network. I wouldn't know how to set a guest network.

Stumped... any other suggestions???

Thanks!

Ah, I see it now. However it was written just vague enough that I didn't register the reference.

Well, it's not the first time a device has been in conflict with the manual. Firmware updates are supposed to be automatic, check that you have the latest:

Bridge to a dual band wireless router and use it as your main router.

There are two ways to bridge. Option 1 uses a separate device designed to bridge Wi-Fi to Ethernet which then allows the use of any wireless router. Option 2 uses a specific wireless router that the Jetpack can USB tether too.
