Inseego 8800L Mifi slow charging

I plugged my 8800L Mifi into the general charging station that I have set up and received a message that the device would charge slowly unless plugged into the charging cube that came with it (I was already using the charging wire than came with the 8800). I plugged the Mifi into the correct cube using the correct cord, and the darn thing is now charging even more slowly than it was before. In the past hour, it’s gone from 14% to 15%. The only thing that is running off it is my ipad on which I’m typing this and my husband’s on which he’s playing solitaire. We have 3 bars of 4G, but the results of a speed test were lousy. Can anyone tell me why this thing is taking so darn long to charge? Thanks in advance.

I’ve only had the device for a couple of months. No damage. It has never held a charge very long. By comparison, I have a Netgear M1100 that runs all day long, and only when we are going to bed do I notice it’s almost out of power, so I’ll plug that in overnight. This Inseego device, while REPORTED to last 24 hours, it has NEVER lasted past mid-day. I usually turn it on around 8am and by 1pm it is asking to be recharged. It’s just me and my husband checking e-mail, social media, reading the news and occasionally doing something like publishing our blog. 

The most recent issue of plugging it in and it taking an hour to move up 1% in battery power just happened yesterday.
