Currently 4 days into cycle and am showing almost 12 gb used. Have been trying since last Oct to find the problem. No satisfactory answer. Hetpack signal shows excellent and data transfer as high as 172, most often in 10-20 range. When I run internet test speed, currently getting less than 1gb.that's right,less than 1gb.  Want to find why I use so much data; no music or video downloads. If I did, I would be at 100gb in no time. I've all ready hit one slodown mark: another week I will be at the 22gb mark. I don't like being penalized for anything, let alone what no one can give a reason as to why usage is so high. Your ads showed 10gb as the highest program: yet my usage is into the "heavy use" without movies or music downloads. Just like to know why connection is so slow but data usage is so high.

Which plan do you have? The new Verizon Unlimited Plan restricts hotspot usage to 10 GB of LTE high speed hotspot data before you are slowed down to 3G speeds for the remainder of the billing cycle. The 22 GB you mentioned suggests that you might be on that plan.

gacapt01  We want you data usage to make sense. I'm here to help. When checking your speeds using a speed test, it is showing you how fast data will transfer. Typically, 4G LTE speeds would be 5-12MBPS for downloads. That being said, we should investigate where your data is being used. Have you checked your data usage details online http://vz.to/1VzxGQJ? If so did you have any questions about the usage?
