I have an older Jetpack (model 5510L) and for the first few years, I was getting 4G on it. Lately, its 3G at best, sometimes 1x. I have powered it down, taken out the battery, and done a restart. Didn't help. I have not yet done a software update to it because there are no instructions for that model on Verizon's software update website. I live in zip 59715. I was on a 5gb/mo plan but just increased it to a 10gb/mo plan. The strange thing is that my iPhone 6 can receive an LTE signal but my Jetpack (in same household) is now only getting 3G. (I assume they are both receiving a signal from the same verizon tower). Is it time to call Ghostbusters? Or is Verizon throttling down speeds now during Covid while most folks are working from home with heavy data usage?
I'd like to add that I brought the Jetpack into the heart of town where there is much stronger signal strength (4 bars instead of the usual 2 I get when at home) and the Jetpack still only gets 3G....just stronger 3G.
