OK so the ISPs that serve a property I manage (in the wilds of Portland Oregon) are an absolute joke but Verizon had good coverage so I last March I contracted a MiFi8800L and purchased some Ring Cameras, a Samsung Smart Things Hub, and a Philips Hue Bridge for advanced lighting control. All but the Philips ran flawlessly on the Jetpack. So I got a LinkSys AX1800 dual band router, put it in “Wireless Bridge” mode and had zero problems with the Philips Hue stuff for 8 months. Yesterday I lost that connectivity, and 4 hours with LinkSys got me the “Verizon’s MiFi can’t provide a stable enough connection for the router to support the connectivity that was working flawlessly until yesterday” excuse. BOgus. Not sure if someone’s firmware update killed this connectivity or what, but here I am, trolling for insights from anyone who has recent experience interfacing Cat 5 Ethernet components to MiFi Jetpacks.
