Mifi 8800L Jetpack USB-C to USB-C Tethered Connection

Is it possible to run a tethered connection via USB-C to USB-C to an android smartphone instead of connecting to the jetpack via Wifi? 

For example, a S10 or s9 directly connected via the 8800L's internet over usb function.

Will the phones recognize the connection and download the driver if needed like a computer does?

Sorry Jose, I dont think your answer relates to my question at all. To reiterate, My question is wether I can tether from the hot spot to my PHONE using the internet over usb only option.
