What is the difference between the products LTE Internet (installed) and LTE Internet & Phone?

I want to add wireless internet access to my son's apartment which already receives a steady 4-bar LTE service.  When I talked to the rep on the Verizon Wireless chat they suggested the LTE Internet & Phone product.  When I went to my local VZW store they suggested Fusion which they say was renamed HomeFusion and then renamed again to "LTE Internet (installed)".  When I asked additional questions about it they gave me a number for FIOS technical support -- I think that's Frontier isn't it?

From a feature/function/price point of view they both look the same.  The only difference I see is that the LTE Internet (installed) product has an external antennae which I'm guessing is required to pick up weak signals.

Does anyone understand these two products well enough to tell me what the difference is and why one would choose one over the other?

Thanks in advance,

Howard

What other questions do you have?

LTEII is a fixed service and cannot be moved without professional assistance. It also does not have telephone service. It is a 4G LTE data only service and has no fallback to lesser technologies, if the 4G LTE network goes down so does your internet service. There are three service plans available with a 30GB/mo cap for $120 and $15/1G overages. I can find no official reference that LTEII is available with the new unlimited data plan.

LTEI&HP is the Novatel T1114 router with telephone service. This is an all-in-one unit with self contained antenna, modem, router and battery backup that you can move to a new location. I believe all data plans are available from 4 to 100 GB as well as unlimited.

If you do not need a home phone then have a look at the 3Gstore.com for the more advanced embedded modem M2M solutions. Notably the Pepwave MAX BR1 and Craddlepoint IBR600.

Thank you for that information.  It is very helpful to me.  I looked at the other products you suggested.  That's a great source with lots of products I didn't even know existed.

I think the LTE Internet & Phone -- they'll don't require that you get the phone service -- is the right product for my son.  Purchase outright for $199 or get it for $50 with a 2 year contract and then $20/mo to link it to his new unlimited plan.  With the strong 4+ bars of signal he currently receives I think this is the best solution from a feature/function/flexibility/price perspective.

Btw, the LTE I&P device has coax connectors for an external antenna so I can always add one -- powered or unpowered -- later if necessary.

Again, thanks for taking the time to help me with this.
