Can animated text messaging be recieved or sent on this phone.

Only had this phone for two weeks,  other people tried to send me animated christmas text, but only get pictures and sound. I know you cannot forward messages to another individual, have read this in other messages, but no talk about animation.  Also had to type all contacts in could not send backup from verizon.  I think so far this is a wonderful phone with a few problems, if they work them out it will be an awesome phone.   The videos and radio is terrific, a few problems with pictures going to computer from phone.  But thats about it.......
